The carst cave, which can be visited, extends for about 400 m though much more of the funnel is still to be explored. . The water here is particularly rich in carbonic acid and interacts both chemically and physically with the calcareous rock, the limestone of the Dolomites and the Dolostone from the Raethian stage. It has not only been responsible for digging the cave, but has contributed towards its fairytale landscape, shaping its stalactites and stalagmites over the course of the millennia as well as other concretions with highly striking colours. The cave is known to locals as "Bus de la lora" ( lora means funnel). Approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes are required to visit it.
Tesino Arboretum covers about 14 ha., may be visited in about 2 hours and represents an alternative destination to the more challenging upper excursions. It's composed by a vast meadows area with clumps of trees, some wooded areas, a peat bog biotope and a small lake. Tesino Arboretum, accessible by car, offers to the visitor an itinerary tucked into nature and easy to walk. Along the itinerary path several elements enhancing the Tesino botanic and historical particularities have been put, as the “roccolo”, the labyrinth, the educational vegetable gardens and the “Garden of Europe”.
The Garden can be visited from spring to autumn. Its architectural structure brings together the archaic and the modern, recalling the semicircular shape of the parliament, but also that of the theater in antiquity, place designed to unite and educate citizens. The solidity of the garden's structure is intended to represent the lesson of history and the value of the European Union. Is a homage to De Gasperi and a symbol of a united Europe.
